On Programmer's Day 1024, a day full of geek spirit, the world's first brain-inspired intelligent computing system 'BIE-1' was officially launched at the Hengqin International Innovation Center, marking the beginning of a 'mobile personal supercomputing' era characterized by miniaturization, greening, personalization, universalization, and popularization.
Academician Zhang Xu, Director of the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, stated that brain-inspired intelligence technology, as the core direction of the new generation of intelligent technology, is reshaping the intelligent industry landscape. The '2023 Intelligent Computing Forum' hosted by the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology was held in Hengqin, launching the world's first programmable brain-inspired wafer computing chip with 100-million-neuron scale, supporting 200 million neuron simulation computing per chip, 200 times that of Intel's most advanced brain-inspired computing chip Loihi2.
